Family day again!

Here we are again at home with the snow blowing the roads shut.  We got to enjoy a day in our PJs after a very busy weekend.  My little man  played on my phone while I played cribbage with my younger daughter.  The  foot of my oldest daughter kept her new sewing machine working as she recycled an old skirt of mine into a tank top for herself.  My husband was doing some business on he day free of battling the roads with the semi.This was a typical snow day morning but we really are getting ready to enjoy the sun shine and spring weather when it gets here.

10yrs Today!

Ten years ago today this young lady surprised the Dr. by a quick entrance into the world. That was not his only surprise that night but he had me convinced I was having a very little baby in the 5lbs maybe 6lbs bracket but when he personally carried her over to the scale and set a chunky 8lbs 4oz baby down on it his mouth dropped. I will not for get how he cried when I told him her name as she was named after my sister whom he had delivered and doctored prior to her passing.  

This girl has always known what she wants and when she wants it.  She is a determined leader and has compassion for others.  Through the years she has grown to be independent and bold. 

She hates failure and change

Loves books and basketball

Hates scrambled eggs or wearing tall socks

Loves horses and shopping

To my dear beautiful girl may you always search out the path the Lord has for you. 

My little man!

Sweet as can be one minute and as mischievous and a weasel the next!  I had a wonderful day with little man. I have missed our time together this year.  Even though he loves school I think he really enjoyed the day as well. We went on an adventure that was twice the adventure that we set out for this morning! Have you ever filled the vehicle with gas just to find out you left the wallet at home had to leave all your info with the teller run home and get the wallet so that you can go back and pay for it.  Than we didn't get some of the items not on our list so we got home only to have to go shopping at the local ALCO for wrapping paper and tape.  I was just glad I had my little man with to make sure it was fun and full of joy!

By The Rambling River

After enjoying the weekend in the house with the family. I was excited to get out and shot some images today!

 After dropping the kids off at school I drove just over the hill and down to the river that rambles its way through the trees.

 




 I knew I had viewed the deer hiding out here before and hoped they might be there today waiting for the sun to  come out and warm their coats.

Cuddles & Stories

Outside the wind swooshes the snow around the yard; building a wall blocking any passage out of the house so we enjoy our family.  First things first grab a good book, a warm cuddly kid, a blanket and enjoy listening to great stories. Than we can all pick a game and grab a hot drink to sip while you say UNO!
